Capital Markets Law #6362 entered into force upon being published in the Official Journal dated December 30, 2012. According to article 138 of the Law, Borsa İstanbul A.Ş. has been founded on the day the Law has entered into force to perform stock exchange operations. Collecting stock exchanges of our capital market under the same flag, Borsa İstanbul received operation permission through direct registry and declaration on April 3, 2013, after its articles of association has been prepared by Capital Markets Board and approved by the related Minister. Main aim and field of activity of Borsa İstanbul is; “ to create, assemble and develop other market places equipped with markets, platforms and systems; for enabling convenient and safe trading of capital market tools, foreign exchange, precious metals and precious stones and other contracts, documents and assets approved by Capital Markets Board under free market conditions in a transparent, efficient, competitive, fair and stable environment; for assembling of purchase and sale orders in relation to such trading or facilitating the assembly thereof; and for determination and declaration of prices resulting from such transactions, to manage and/or operate such and other kinds of stock exchanges or stock exchange markets and other businesses written down in its articles of association.”

Before eBA, Borsa İstanbul did not have any equivalent product in use. They used to meet their corporate needs with the solutions they have created within the corporation. They were local products meeting the needs at the time. As of 2013, İstanbul Stock Exchange (İMKB) (as it was named in those days) entered a period of transformation. Other two stock exchanges of Turkey, Derivatives Exchange and İstanbul Gold Exchange brought together under Borsa İstanbul. Additionally its organization structure also underwent a fundamental change and improvement. In order to match the rapid change a need for an application with high integration capability instead of continuing with local in-house solutions arose.
In order to match the fast pace of transformation and to ensure changing current applications to enable flexible and easy management, organization decided to purchase eBA. Currently all computer users in Borsa İstanbul are also eBA users. Many processes from the General Manager level to HR, Purchasing and Support Services started to be provided over eBA. eBA took place as a central application in our organization and was positioned at the center of the corporation as the work flow/integration solution. With its high integration capacity, difference of applications among departments did not create any problems, thanks to its high flexibility all data now can be monitored over a single screen.
e-request (IT request management), project management, purchasing, error tracking, leaves and overtime, vehicle request, travel monitoring are among the some actively used applications on the portal we call Turkuaz, containing all eBA applications within the corporation called paperless office applications. We are about to integrate some processes such as invoice approval, contract and customer management on this portal. EBYS will be the largest of the solutions we configure over eBA. We will ensure Capture, e-signature and KEP integrations by commissioning our e-correspondence application and then incoming and outgoing external document applications in a short time.
